Waterfront City
The Waterfront City area of Batam is located on the western side of the island. There are several attractions & activities available in this area, (some of which are listed below) ranging from water & sea sports activities, a fishing pond, kart racing track, a football field, as well as a beach for swimming or playing with the kid's
There are also several restaurants & bars in the area, so you can enjoy some fine dinning or a drink with friends while you are out & about!

Batam Cable Water Ski Park
The Batam Cable Water Ski Park is located in the Waterfront City area. The park has a lake & uses an overhead cable to tow skiers around the lake on skis, kneeboards or wakeboards. There are several jumps & slides set up in the lake, for you to test your skills on, and it is a great way to spend the day if you like skiing!
Food & drinks are also available at the ski park

Step 1 Go Kart Circuit
The Step 1 Go Kart Circuit is located in the Waterfront City area.
Fast Go Karts race around on a purpose built track, just great for the speed junkies! Test out your skills by racing against the clock or with your team mates

Batam Temples
Batam has several Buddhist & Hindu Temples in various locations across the island. The temples have worshippers visiting daily and most temples allow tourists & visitors to come and look around.
Tua Pek Kong Temple
Tua Pek Kong Temple (also known as Vihara Buddhi Bhakti Temple) is a very famous temple located in Nagoya. It is well used by the locals for their daily prayers and offerings.
Adhi Vinayakar Temple
Adhi Vinayakar Hindu Temple is near Nagoya, and is worshipped by the Hindu’s from all over the island.
Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Buddhist Temple
The Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Buddhist Temple is at Batam Centre and is one of the largest Buddhist Temples in South East Asia.

Barelang Islands
South of Batam is 6 islands that are linked together with bridges. It is a popular place for Batam residents & tourists to visit, as the 1st bridge is very large and offers spectacular views of Batam, the surrounding ocean & neighboring islands.
One of the islands has an old Vietnamese Refugee Camp on it with some interesting history, and many of the buildings & temples have been preserved as a tourist attraction

Batam Movie Theatres
Batam has two Movie Theatres, one is Studio 21 at Nagoya Hill Shopping Center in Nagoya, and the other is XXI Cineplex Movie Theatre, located at Mega Mall, Batam Center

Other Batam Attractions
Other Batam attractions to explore includes Kampung Jabi, Cetya Tri Darma Pagoda as well the Japanese Cemetery – an ancient burial yard – and Tumenggung Abdul Jamal's Tomb. Throughout Batam Island, visitors can experience a range of traditional folk dancing and music, handed down from generation to generation.
