You will be often asked about you and your life, such as Sudah kawin? ‘(Are you) already married?' If you are not married then it is better to say Belum! ‘Not yet!’ rather than Tidak, ‘No’ as most Indonesians would wonder why you are not married yet or not thinking about getting married. So to learn Indonesian small talk will help you give the appropiate answer.
You will get on a lot better, especially if you are a woman, if you answer Sudah or Belum
